Description
The 2002 Cabernet Sauvignon will be produced from a single vineyard located on the beautiful Atlas Peak Estate, 1500 feet above the Napa Valley floor. Nestled below the picturesque Atlas Peak Lake, this is one of the newest and most exciting blocks of steep mountain vineyards. The northwest slope provides excellent sun exposure during the fall, allowing the grapes to fully ripen and develop explosive ripe currant and black cherry characteristics. Winemaker Darren Procsal has crafted a powerful mountain Cabernet from his first vintage for Atlas Peak Vineyards, offering a glimpse of the new style he brings to the winery.
