Description
Winemaker Nils Venge has crafted a "killer red" blend from the best lots of our estate vineyards: 30-year-old Wappo Camp Zinfandel is blended with Cabernet Sauvignon and Petite Sirah for additional complexity. Big and bold, it boasts heady aromas of toasted oak, ripe cherries, blackberry, cassis and racy spices.
Punch cap fermented with extended maceration this wine will age 24 months in 200% new French oak: after 12 months in a new Limousin barrel, this rich blend ages in a new Allier barrel, where it will remain until bottled unfiltered and unfined.
