Description

Atop Howell Mountain lies Vogt Vineyard, a 14-acre site that is a special place above the clouds. The vineyard reaches from a high slope with shallow, rocky soils, down to a lower bowl of deep loam. This particular barrel of 100% Cabernet Sauvignon was produced from the Upper Block of Vogt Vineyard, the site's highest elevation, and the first part of the vineyard to ripen. Firm and impressive, with abundant flavors of cassis and boysenberry, the ripe fruit intensity of Howell Mountain shines in this wine.
