Description
This uniquely crafted cuvée highlights the southwestern block of Spencer Roloson’s flagship La Herradura Vineyard in Conn Valley. Tucked in the lower slopes of Howell Mountain, La Herradura was planted by winegrower Sam Spencer. The vineyard is planted with Syrah vine cuttings from Côte Rôtie because of its topographic similarities with the region. The east-facing block of La Herradura, from which this cuvée was crafted, most resembles Côte Brune, with direct morning light and oblique afternoon exposure, creating a heady, full-throttled, and massive wine with finely integrated tannins and exceptional balance.
