E pluribus unum: out of many, one. Unison is the harmonious collective of Napa Valley’s diverse growing regions in one bottle. We celebrate the bounty of the Valley by carefully selecting only the best fruit from our favorite vineyards. Each vineyard block is fermented and aged separately; these site-specific lots are then artfully blended. Our Premiere Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon highlights the magic of intermingling flavors from exquisite vineyard blocks in Atlas Peak, Diamond Mountain and Oak Knoll into a layered and beautifully balanced whole that is ultimately greater than the sum of its parts. Crafted entirely of Cabernet Sauvignon, Unison exhibits opulent dark red fruit flavors framed by ripe, supple tannins, and a rich mouthfeel with a touch of French oak on the lingering finish.
Ralf Holdenried
Winemaker, Black Stallion Estate Winery
From childhood chores on his family's vineyard in Germany to crafting small lot wines in Napa Valley, Ralf has an eclectic mix of winemaking experience that spans two continents. He studied winemaking and viticulture at Germany's prestigious University of Geisenheim and worked at several wineries in Reinhessen and Nahe, before studying fermentation science, viticulture and enology at the University of California at Davis. Ralf became fascinated with California's wine culture and has since relished the New World approach to crafting wine.
