A Nashville native, Mason grow up in Brentwood, TN, a suburb of Nashville. Mason attended the University of Louisville and worked as a coaches assistant for Rick Patino. With aspiration of becoming a basketball coach, Mason worked as an assistant coach at Indiana University for a year prior to taking over the family business. At age 23, Mason took over the family's 2 existing restaurants. Today, Mason has grown the business to 13 locations and counting. Mason started Revelette Wines because he always wanted to serve a wine he made in his restaurants. After a short 4 years, it turned into much more than that! Now, Mason and his wife Kathryn own 18 acres in Rutherford and look forward to creating a family legacy here in Napa Valley.

Winemaking Philosophy:
Being intentional with blending to achieve your goal of what you want in the bottle. While wine making is definitely a creative process, it's also a product a business is selling - both us as a winery and restaurants. With my background in restaurants, my wine making approach takes the business aspect into account. We're relatively new to the industry and don't have a library of older wines to offer. That said, I keep that in mind when making the wines. Our wines are make to be enjoyed sooner rather than later. Also, I focus on approachability in the bottle. From my experience, that's what people gravitate towards.

Jonathan Walden

Winemaker, Revelette Wines

A Napa-born vintner, Jonathan brings with him the experience of training under two of the most influential figures in modern winemaking: Philippe Melka and Thomas Rivers Brown.
Jonathan’s story begins in Napa, where his love for Cabernet Sauvignon and vineyard life first took shape. Growing up surrounded by the valley’s landscapes gave him a deep appreciation for wine as both craft and culture. His path eventually led him to work closely with two mentors who have left an undeniable mark on Napa’s history.
Jonathan’s winemaking philosophy is a fusion of these two great influences. From Melka, he carries forward a devotion to terroir and authenticity. From Rivers Brown, he embraces boldness and confidence. At Revelette Wines, this translates into bottlings that are rich in character, deeply layered, and capable of aging beautifully.
Our upcoming vintages, including our flagship Cabernet Sauvignon and small-lot selections, will showcase Jonathan’s vision. These wines are designed to offer immediate appeal in the glass while also developing complexity over time.
