Winemaker, Grape Culture

Winemaker, Collin Cranor

With nearly 15 years of focusing on single vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon production from various regions in California, Collin Cranor moved his family winery to Napa Valley in 2021 and launched Grape Culture.

Grape Culture is focused solely on showcasing the discernable qualities of Cabernet Sauvignon from some of Napa Valley's most esteemed vineyards.

Country born: USA

Years in the wine industry: 10-15 years

Winemaking Philosophy:
Focus on the fruit and let data and intuition guide each decision. It starts with good fruit, continues with sound cellar strategies and protocols and great cooperage. What sets us apart is our fluid approach to every fermentation. We utilize technology that allows us to see how a wine is building from a color and tannin stand point during fermentation. This allows us to pivot the direction of a fermentation on the fly and make each next step meaningful as we try to get the best qualities each site has to offer.
