Description

This rare expression of Napa Valley winemaking is one of only 60 bottles that will ever be made. Think of it as a bit of Napa Valley history in your cellar and celebrated in a glass with friends and family.
Your Premiee Napa Valley wine is from the oldest block of Cabernet Sauvignon grapes in the Clos Pegase Tenma Vineyard in the Calistoga Palisades. The vines are planted on decomposed andesite rock. Gravelly soils keep vine growth in check and produce berries that are tiny and massively concentrated. Following a cold soak and a meticulous fermentation to gain perfect extraction, a post-fermentation maceration for tannin development was conducted. This 100% Cabernet Sauvignon was aged in new French oak barrels for 22 months in the cool Clos Pegase caves.

In 2004, I relocated tio William Hill Estate as winemaker for two years, followed by a two-year tenure as winemaker/co-general manager for Tetra and Expression Wine, brands of Hill & Wollack Wine Estates.
