Description
For the past two years at Premiere Napa Valley, we have submitted a Bordeaux blend, Pickett Road Red, a Petit Verdot-based blend that has been well accepted.
This year, we have chosen to showcase Cabernet Sauvignon from our estate. Over the past 33 years, we have experimented with fourteen clones of Cabernet on five different rootstocks. We feel that the two clones we selected for our Premiere lot—15 and 169—best express this effort to showcasing our vineyard’s terroir.
Abundant notes of fresh berries, licorice, tobacco leaf, and Baker's chocolate complete the aromatic complex. Blueberry, black cherry, and cassis greet the entry while rounded tannins and well-integrated oak contribute to an elegant middle and a long finish.

I worked at Duckhorn for five years before becoming winemaker at Kenefick. I am currently the winemaker for Coup de Foudre, along with Kenefick Ranch.
