Tamber Bey Vineyards
Petit Verdot
Yountville
5 cases produced
Description
In 2002, Tamber Bey owner Barry Waitte and
founding winemakers Thomas Brown and
Mike Smith selected and planted a block
of Bordeaux blend varietals in the Deux
Chevaux Vineyard, located in the Yountville
Appellation. This block was nicknamed the
“Sandbox” because it allows us to play—to be
creative with blends—and we knew that as
soon as the vines were mature enough, we
would make a Petit Verdot from this block.
Already used in small quantities as part of the
Rabicano blend, this Petit Verdot has everything
necessary to stand independently.
It’s the perfect varietal for a unique, limitedproduction
wine.
