Description
Trefethen Family Vineyards turns 40 this year, and we’ve got a really special gift for you! Wrapped up in this exclusive lot of 40th Anniversary Cuvee is Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec and Petit Verdot. The majority of the fruit comes from our Hillspring Vineyard, where well-drained, rocky soils and shelter from fog and wind create ideal conditions for growing Cabernet Sauvignon. It is blended to perfection by winemaker Peter Luthi and John and Janet Trefethen, with the best fruit from the northwest quadrant of our main ranch vineyard where gravel predominates, producing small berries with intense flavor.
This wine is a definitive brother to our 2002 Reserve Cabernet. It comes from the same vineyards and is made by the same winemaking team.
