Description
Venge Vineyards is pleased to present this one-of-a-kind lot for PNV. Its base comes from our dry-farmed and low-yielding estate Oakville Reserve Cabernet, but for PNV, we've added a touch of estate Merlot and a trace of Petit Verdot sourced from a very special hillside planting, all of which were aged prior to blending in 100% tight-grain French oak. The Oakville AVA is renowned for its robust, balanced and age-worthy reds—and cellared properly, this wine will serve its owner well for 15 to 20 years or more.

I began by following my father around at Villa Mt. Eden, now Plumpjack, back in the late 1970's. From there he moved to Groth and I got to know my way around the crush pad. In 1995 I entered into the Vit. and Enol. program at Davis and in '98 graduated with a B.S. degree. In 1999 I began work for the Venge label and in 2008 took the brand over. In addition, I've been a consulting winemaker for the past 10 years.
