Description
In 1880, the St. Helena Star wrote that Howell Mountain "would be to California what Médoc is to France." Embodying the rugged beauty of this acclaimed appellation, the wines of Howell Mountain have since emerged as some of the best in the world—consistently offering magnificently complex expressions of mountain winegrowing that combine power, opulence and elegance. For this year's Premiere Napa Valley, we have created a rendition of our Paraduxx Napa Valley Red Wine, which celebrates its 15th vintage with the 2008 growing season. Made using the finest grapes from our two estate vineyards on Howell Mountain, this one-of-a-kind bottling reverses our classic Zinfandel-dominated Paraduxx blend. With a focus on the epic structure and dark-fruit grandeur of high-mountain Cabernet Sauvignon, it gains depth and complex appeal from the robust fruit and spice of world-class Zinfandel.
