Description
Winemaker Andrew Schweiger evaluates his coopers annually by performing barrel trials. For the 1999 vintage, grapes from the estate "8 acre" block were vinified separately in barrels from 12 different coopers. The family favorite was this Spring Mountain Cabernet aged in a Tonellerie Sylvain barrel. It displays full, fruity aromas, a velvety mouth-feel and seamless integration with the soft French oak.
