Description
The Ristow Estate is located in the eastern hills of Napa Valley near the intersection of Oak Knoll and Silverado Trail. Though each of the wines released by Ristow has been 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, in the south end of our vineyard we have a special part, Block III, devoted to a small amount of Merlot. Block III's sandy soil is very different from the rocky terrain where the Cabernet is planted. This Merlot was carefully blended with our estate Cabernet Sauvignon by our winemaker, Pam Starr, to create an exclusive offering for Premiere Napa Valley 2003.
