Sold Out Premiere Napa Valley Kicks Off, Celebrating Craftsmanship and Coming Together

February 17, 2026 -

Saint Helena, CA - Premiere Napa Valley Week is here with tastings beginning today and culminating in a live auction on Saturday, February 21. While in-person registration sold out weeks ago, wine trade buyers from around the world can still participate virtually.

Premiere Napa Valley has become the ultimate meeting place for vintners and trade partners to reconnect and celebrate what makes the wine industry such a dynamic, relationship-driven business.

“The wine business is fueled by shared passion and deep commitment to the craft,” said Josh Phelps, Owner and Winemaker of Grounded Wine Co, and co-chair of this year's Premiere Napa Valley alongside his father Chris Phelps. “Premiere is the ultimate expression of that. It is truly the best week in Napa Valley because it brings our friends and partners together.”

Though known for its highly anticipated auction, the event means far more to the wine trade than access to exceptional wines. With nearly half of Napa Valley Vintners’ member wineries participating, the annual event offers an unparalleled opportunity to strengthen partnerships, taste new vintages, discover new brands and conduct business for the coming year.

For 30 years, professionals from every tier of the industry have gathered in Napa Valley for the annual homecoming. This year, more than 1,000 trade members are expected to take part.

Wine trade and vintners will meet over several days at 25 preview tasting events before coming together for the grand barrel tasting and live auction on Saturday. At this year's auction, 181 lots are for sale, with 159 from the 2024 vintage that will debut this week. Also noteworthy are 11 collaboration lots with 50 wineries taking part.

Trade members can register to bid virtually at Sotheby’s now through Friday, February 20 at 1 p.m. PST. The live streaming auction takes place February 21, at 1 p.m. PST.

All proceeds from Premiere Napa Valley directly fund programs that fulfill Napa Valley Vintners' mission to promote, protect and enhance Napa Valley.
