Description
This wine is the first estate wine from arguably the smallest winery in Oakville, and perhaps the entire Napa Valley. Consulting winemaker Jeff Ames directed all aspects of production of this unique and delicious 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. Our vineyard is one of the very few hillside plantings between Highway 29 and the Silverado Trail.

I worked my first harvest in Oregon in 1998 and came to Napa in 1999. Was fortunate enough to work at several high-end brands with a friend before going out on my own after 2006.

Winemaking Philosophy:
The approach for the Nemerever wines is to have them show like where they come from, Eastern Oakville slopes. We do not fine or filter any of the wines since we want them to show the sense of place as clearly as we can. For the barrels we use only the best barrels that we can get our hands on so they are all Darnajou and Taransaud coppers. After several years making the wines and fermenting each separately we have begun to finely dial in the fermentations and what blocks go best which which blocks for co-fermentation. As always I want the wines to taste amazing but I also want them to taste like Nemerever.
