  • This wine epitomizes mountain elegance, as deep, brambly fruit flavors are lifted with aromas of savory herbs
  • 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from Block 42 on our famed "La Perla" Vineyard, aging 20 months in Taransaud barrels

Description

Spring Mountain Vineyard is comprised of nearly 900 contiguous acres upon precipitous slopes ranging from 400 to 1,700 feet in elevation. The estate itself is the amalgamation of four historic Victorian-age wine estates, each of which have left an indelible mark upon the wine history of Napa Valley. One such estate, "La Perla," was first planted in 1873 and is home to Spring Mountain's very first Cabernet Sauvignon vines. Today, this heritage vineyard produces some of our very best fruit, which typically finds its way to our reserve blend. Block 42 lies at the very heart of this vineyard and is perched upon a cliff overlooking the valley below. It is here, on hallowed ground, where our "Vista 42" wine begins to take form. After a discerning selection process and 20 months of élevage in Taransaud French oak barrels, Vista 42 is finally ready for the bottle and is one step closer to arriving in your own cellar. Some 150 years since its origin, we commemorate the remarkable legacy of our famed La Perla vineyard with the release of Vista 42.
