The 2023 vintage in Oakville is terrific. The vines that produce this wine were specially selected by our winemaker, Jeff Ames. These grapes are from our three-quarter acre hillside vineyard block and have given us exceptional, long-lived wines since 2005. A half ton T-bin was used for fermentation and meticulously tended. Please enjoy this special lot on release and cellar some bottles for additional elegance and complexity.

Winemaker, Nemerever Vineyards
I worked my first harvest in Oregon in 1998 and came to Napa in 1999. Was fortunate enough to work at several high-end brands with a friend before going out on my own after 2006.
Country born: USA
Education: Learned by working in cellars not through school.
Years in the wine industry: 20-30 years
The approach for the Nemerever wines is to have them show like where they come from, Eastern Oakville slopes. We do not fine or filter any of the wines since we want them to show the sense of place as clearly as we can. For the barrels we use only the best barrels that we can get our hands on so they are all Darnajou and Taransaud coppers. After several years making the wines and fermenting each separately we have begun to finely dial in the fermentations and what blocks go best which which blocks for co-fermentation. As always I want the wines to taste amazing but I also want them to taste like Nemerever.
