Titania
2022 Cabernet Sauvignon
Rutherford
Our Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon showcases the pinnacle of this remarkable nested appellation. The distinct "Rutherford Dust" qualities take center stage, revealing earthy, mineral nuances interwoven with subtle notes of black fruits. From the vineyard, we draw forth the deeper, dark fruit flavors of blackberry, currant and anise, creating a velvety mid-palate experience and culminating with delicate hints of cedar and spice. To harmoniously meld all these flavors, your wine will undergo a minimum 22-month aging process in tightly-grained French oak barrels, crafted from 100% new oak sourced predominantly from the Allier forest.

Winemaking Philosophy:
In the vineyard and the cellar, Julien’s practices as a winemaker are informed by a belief that the act of putting wine in the bottle should be as natural as possible. To achieve this, he employs traditional, low-manipulation winemaking methods—always preceded by carefully considered viticultural decisions. “There’s a lot of anticipation with my decision-making on the ground,” Julien explains. “Great wine is the natural product of grapes, so my creed is vineyard-centric.”
