Description
Our only 100% Cabernet Sauvignon production, the 15th of its kind, combines the elements of our best vineyard sites. Ranging from single cluster/shoot Clone 7 at 1,800 feet elevation on Upper Atlas Peak, growing out of rocky volcanic soils proportionally blended with our fruit forward SEE clone in the west-facing alluvial fan soils of Calistoga. The structural inky color and brooding dark berry fruit profile from the mountains marries perfectly with the bold aromatics and red ripe silkiness of the Upper Valley SEE clone. The fruit in this wine is 75% Atlas Peak and 25% Calistoga.

Winemaker, Coup De Foudre Winery
I was born in southern Louisiana, where my grandfather owned a wine distribution company. The culinary aspects of the area, and the fine wines introduced by my grandfather inspired me to pursue a winemaking career.
Country born: United States
Education: I graduated from U.C. Davis with a Viticulture and Enology degree and interned at J. Wine Company and Spring Mountain Vineyards. I then worked at Duckhorn Wine Company for five years.
Years in the wine industry: 10-15 years
Winemaking Philosophy:
For the past 20 years, we have had the great fortune and honor to work with wine, savor it and witness its impact on consumers as they navigate the wonders of wine and the sheer pleasure that it brings.
