2021 Cabernet Sauvignon
Napa Valley
Since 1900, Beaulieu Vineyard has crafted world-class Cabernet Sauvignons from signature estate vineyards in the Rutherford nested appellation, including what many consider Napa Valley’s first cult Cabernet Sauvignon, our iconic Georges de Latour Private Reserve. Our winery gained recognition and acclaim through the craftmanship of famed winemaker André Tchelistcheff, whose legacy is carried on today by Trevor Durling. Historically, Beaulieu Vineyard has only sourced Cabernet Sauvignon from the historic Rutherford estate valley floor vineyards of BV Ranch No. 1 and No. 2. However, with this special cuvee, Durling has crafted a unique and irreplaceable offering that showcases the plushness, richness and roundness of valley floor Cabernet Sauvignon blended with robust and rugged structural fruit from the Howell Mountain nested appellation, resulting in a wine unprecedented in taste, quality and perception. Your wine shows tremendous concentration, structure and tannin profile from the Howell Mountain fruit, while retaining signature freshness and Rutherford Dust cocoa powder texture and character from our historic valley floor estate vineyards.
Winemaker, Beaulieu Vineyard
Beaulieu Vineyard winemaker Trevor Durling presides as only the fifth winemaker in the winery’s 120-year history. With a love of agriculture, science and cuisine, Trevor pursued his studies at the University of California Davis in the Viticulture and Enology program. As winemaker at Beaulieu Vineyard, Trevor incorporates his passion for creating fine wines, while preserving the heritage and legacy of Beaulieu Vineyard.
