E.J. Church
2021 Cabernet Franc
Napa Valley
Planted by Ted, Laddie and Chris Hall on the historic property of Long Meadow Ranch established in 1872, these 31-year-old vines stand watch on the precipice of Bear Canyon. At just over one third of an acre, our tiny Cabernet Franc block is a winemaker favorite. This pre-Prohibition site, originally planted in the 1870s by E.J. Church, is south-facing at an altitude of 1,192 feet. The vineyard produces a classically elegant wine true to the variety. Fans of Cabernet Franc will enjoy this for many years.
