Description

This wine represents the first vintage Cathiard Vineyard has produced. Florence and Daniel Cathiard purchased this property after falling in love with its biodiversity, and this connection with nature is our guiding principle. This single-vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is grown on our historic old vines on the slopes of the Mayacamas Mountains. Meticulous care was taken from vine to bottle. The grapes were barrel fermented in French oak made by our cooper. The result yielded delicate extraction that ensured a balanced, powerful wine with elegance in the structure and the aromatic profile. This lot was bottled especially for Premiere Napa Valley and is the only wine produced from this block that we named Justine, after our winemaker. This very special wine embodies the best of the Rutherford terroir combined with our French savoir faire.
