Description

The bird-themed series was born during the Covid 19 pandemic’s first spring, a time our family spent more hours together in the vineyard than we ever had. That May we saw more bluebirds than I can remember. Having been an avid bird watcher all my life, I was thrilled to share this winemaking endeavor with my family. You can’t help but feel happy when you see a bluebird—it’s just one of those universal rules. And being at the beginning of the pandemic, these sightings took on an added dimension, hence the idea to start a bird-themed series of wines for Premiere Napa Valley that underscores our connection to our land. Sometimes the sighting of the bird inspires the wine and sometimes the wine inspires the choosing of the bird. This is #3 in a potentially limitless series.
