Crafted by our artisan winemaker Aaron Pott, this wine is a blend of 48% Merlot, 44% Cabernet Franc and 8% Cabernet Sauvignon. The nose opens with an arresting and inviting perfume, revealing concentrated aromas of wild blueberries, violets and black currants. The textured palate is commanding in its fruit intensity and depth, with the wine flaunting a round, polished center and a velvety mouthfeel. Robust flavors of black cherry and blueberry evolve in the glass, leading the way to a savory, prolonged finish. Blackbird Vineyards’ Paramour possesses both sensuality and commanding structure. Merlot and Cabernet Franc have a fragile but irresistible chemistry that flourishes when climate, soils and seasons align. The grapes allotted for this graceful red wine were grown in only the most auspicious conditions. Paramour reveals the passionate relationship between these two varieties, as well as that between the winegrower and the land.
