Beckstoffer Vineyard Georges III
2019 Cabernet Sauvignon
Rutherford
Proprietor Marc D. Taub’s family’s roots in California wine date back to the early 1930s, when his grandfather Marty started a career in the wholesale business. Marc’s father David later joined him, and the two worked side-by-side to build upon a dream to distribute incredible wines from California and beyond. Since that foundation, wine has been the centerpiece of the Taub family’s narrative and livelihood. Today, Marc is proud to carry on that tradition with his own son Jake, while making wine in some of California’s most exciting nested appellations and single vineyards. They honor a deep heritage with this special wine from the historic Beckstoffer Vineyard Georges III. This parcel, purchased by Georges de Latour in 1928 and originally called Beaulieu Vineyard Number 3, was home to BV’s Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignons made by the renowned André Tchelistcheff. In 1988, it was purchased by Beckstoffer Vineyards, and today the Taub family is fortunate that their relationship with Andy Beckstoffer enables them to craft this wine from his incredible vineyard. This wine truly embodies a pure expression of its vineyard microsite, with elegance and extraordinary balance.
