Description

Hidden in the red, rocky foothills of the Oakville nested appellation is Gargiulo Vineyards, a family winery founded with the goal of capturing the purity of its unique estate vineyards. Included in your lot is a never-before offered vertical of 10 magnums: one magnum each of the 575 OVX Cabernet Sauvignon and the G Major 7 Study Cabernet Sauvignon, from the 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013 vintages. With only 12 cases of magnums produced each year, the 575 OVX Cabernet Sauvignon is an extremely limited wine and is the most pure and powerful expression of Gargiulo’s iron-rich, rocky terrain. The G Major 7 Study Cabernet Sauvignon is a classic-red-inspired blend from the same vineyard, with only 14 cases of magnums produced. The vineyard shows the silky elegance that is possible from this ancient terroir formed centuries ago. Both wines sold out immediately upon release and have not been available for sale since. To help celebrate the new additions to your cellar, as the winning bidder you’ll join Jeff and Valerie Gargiulo for an alfresco lunch (circumstances permitting) at the 575 OVX vineyard, where you will sample several stunning wines from the property, along with seasonal, farm fresh cuisine.
