Description
In 2017, we harvested enough red fruit to produce just eight barrels of Cabernet Sauvignon. Because of this, we have chosen to name this one-of-a-kind wine our "Solo," which truly reflects what this wine represents to the team at Somerston. This wine is 100 percent Cabernet Sauvignon from our estate vineyards in the Vaca Mountains, aged in new French oak barrels for 24 months.

Craig Becker is a seasoned winemaker and has worked with a wide range of varieties planted at some of California's top hillside vineyards.
Country born: United States
Education: Driven by his strong interest in plant and soil science Craig attended the University of California at Davis studying plant physiology, hydrologic science, enology, and viticulture.
Years in the wine industry: 15-20 years
Winemaking Philosophy:
It is Craig's artisan approach to winemaking and his extensive knowledge in viticulture that enables him to create superb wines from a wide range of varieties and sites.
