Description
Our estate vineyard is located on a unique parcel in the Oak Knoll District of Napa Valley. The vineyard borders Dry Creek at the base of the Mayacamas Mountains and is located in the largest of 10 alluvial fan belts in Napa Valley. The well-drained sandy and gravelly loam soils, in partnership with moderate temperatures, yield concentrated fruit with excellent flavor intensity, yet a supple mouth-feel. The vineyard is planted to three different clones of Cabernet Sauvignon. Each of the four vineyard blocks was hand-harvested at dawn and carefully sorted by eight sets of hands. The wine is aged for 24 months in an assortment of French oak barrels that are chosen to complement the subtle nuances of the vineyard. The selection of these barrels further enhances the length, depth and complexity of the Cabernet Sauvignon and reveals a well-integrated wine that is made to last.

Winemaker, Ideology Cellars
Leigh Meyering is the Winemaker for Ideology Cellars. With over fifteen years of winemaking experience, she has a diverse background in all levels of production. Leigh has worked with many different varietals from appellations including the Napa Valley, Carneros, Sonoma, and Bordeaux.
With a Masters degree in Enology from UC Davis and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Cal Poly, Leigh's technical skills enhance her creative vision. Her previous experience with quality control in the semiconductor industry developed a discipline of precision and accurcy.
In 2010 Leigh launched my Enologist, a consulting, wine analysis and supply business in Napa. Previously she held various positions in wine making at Spring Mountain Vineyard in St. Helena, Clos Des Jacobins in St. Emilion, MacRostie in Carneros, and Charles Krug in St. Helena.
