Winemaker, Nine Suns

Great wines have always begun in the vineyard. Paying as much attention to what is happening to the vines and the fruit before it arrives in the winery so as to create the best possible wine.

Originally from New Zealand, I gained my BSc in Mathematics and physics before heading to the University of Auckland to complete a Masters in Wine Science. After moving to Napa Valley I worked for Futo wines before moving to Nine Suns.


I started my career in Hawkes Bay New Zealand, after completing time at both Trinity Hill and Elephant Hill, I took up the opportunity to work with FUTO wines in Oakville. When the position was presented, the move was easy to make to work with such and amazing vineyard and facility that is HOUYI vineyard and NINE SUNS Winery.

Education: Completed a MSC in Wine Science at the University of Auckland in New Zealand. I have worked in both Hawkes Bay in New Zealand and Napa Valley
