Three Palms Vineyard Block 9
2015 Cabernet Sauvignon
Calistoga
Originally planted in 1968, Three Palms Vineyard has earned a reputation as one of North America’s greatest vineyards, acclaimed for its unique history and benchmark wines. Duckhorn Vineyards has been proud to craft vineyard-designate bottlings from Three Palms since our inaugural vintage in 1978. While this legendary site is widely recognized for producing some of the New World’s greatest Merlots, it is also the source for spectacular Cabernet Sauvignons. Today, Three Palms is the crown jewel of the Duckhorn Vineyards estate program and this beautifully complex and layered Cabernet Sauvignon shows why. Made exclusively using grapes from the site’s Block 9, which Duckhorn has worked with for almost 40 years, this wine has all of the structure and earthy minerality that has made Three Palms Merlot famous, but displays vivid black fruit and violet qualities that make it purely Cabernet. What makes Block 9 so remarkable is how complete and compelling a wine it makes as 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, showing the seamless combination of structure, complexity and velvety tannins that have made Three Palms Vineyard famous.
