Western bench land Zinfandel still growing in Rutherford? You can assume that this vineyard of certified organic, dry-farmed fruit produces a Zinfandel that is a true pleasure to drink. Years ago my children, all raised on property, got together and said to me, "Mom, you know it's time you really did start to tout Tres Sabores as the prime Zinfandel-producing estate that it is. Your Cabernet Sauvignon is great as well, but focus on the Zin - it truly is the heart and soul of this property. Be proud of what's happening on the ranch." This specially selected lot is offered in celebration of our entire family farming this beautiful vineyard of Zinfandel for 30 years.
Winemaker, Tres Sabores
I married a winemaker. Then I married another winemaker. They both make great wine and I've learned a great deal through a 30-year-long process of love and osmosis (and personal gumption, I guess!)
I was encouraged to start making wine in 2001 - "Don't you think it's about time that you start making the wine (from your front yard)?", he said.
