Bryan's Block
2021 Cabernet Sauvignon
Yountville
Originally planted more than 150 years ago, our Yountville Ranch Vineyard is one of Markham’s original and oldest vineyards, purchased by Bruce Markham in 1975. It sits along the southern edge of the Rutherford Bench in the Yountville District, the “beating heart” of Napa Valley. Within the vineyard is a block dedicated to Bryan Del Bondio, the former president of Markham Vineyards, whose vision and passion were integral to building the Markham presence and portfolio. Bryan’s tenure began as Bruce Markham’s first employee and sustained for 40 years until he retired in August 2019. Upon his retirement, a particular block within our legendary 78-acre Yountville Ranch Vineyard was chosen for its personal meaning to Bryan. Above the block on the property is where he and his dad used to go porcini mushroom hunting after the first rains. Bottled and named in honor of Bryan's legacy.
