Description
We cherish these old vines and their ability to dig deep into Howell Mountain, drawing upon their terroir in order to manifest the essence of our hillside vineyards. The Burgess Reserve is the evolution of Tom Burgess and Bill Sorenson’s “vintage selection” bottling. The two would meticulously taste through every single barrel of wine and assemble the most premium selections of Cabernet Sauvignon. Our Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon is composed of our oldest vines planted in 1979 and 1991. This 2009 vintage is the embodiment of Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon: lush aromas of black and blue fruit tempered by the minerality of graphite and baked clay, fully expressing its singular sense of place.
