Cabernet Bosché
2004 Cabernet Sauvignon
Rutherford
The first vintage of Cabernet Bosché was 1970, one of the first vineyard-designated wines in California's history. Located on the west side of Rutherford, on an alluvial fan often called the Rutherford Bench, Cabernet Bosché is famous for deep gravelly clay loam, creating wine with great depth and character. The 2004 vintage expresses aromas of blackberry cobbler, dark cherry and chocolate-covered espresso beans, with a fleshy flavor, full dark fruit and an elegant finish. From a recent tasting of our library wines, winemakers Kristy Melton and Ted Edwards agreed the 2004 was outstanding. This is an exceptional vintage from an exceptional vineyard.
