East Block Cuvee 1949
2019 Cabernet Franc
Oakville
The Detert Cuvee 1949 East Block Cabernet Franc is a rare jewel. Sourced from our 7-acres of old vines within the historic To Kalon Vineyard, this is a heritage clone of Cabernet Franc whose lineage stretches back to the early history of grape growing in Napa Valley. Planted by in 1949 by Martin Stelling, then the owner of To Kalon, these rare Cabernet Franc vines have been farmed by our family for nearly 70 years. The unique site, vine age and clone, produce a distinctive, classic profile and a delicious, totally compelling Cabernet Franc.
