29 Estate
2019 Cabernet Franc
St. Helena
We are so excited about our 2019 29 Estate Cabernet Franc, which we only bottle a limited amount of and sell exclusively to our mailing list and winery visitors. We’ve offered different blends of our Cabernet Sauvignon from 29 Estate and Aida Estate in the past but this year we wanted to mix things up and focus on the amazing estate Cabernet Franc which is grown on a very steep, rocky hillside on the winery property in St. Helena. Our winemaker, Keith Emerson, has selected his favorite barrel of the 2019 Cabernet Franc and blended in a small amount of carefully selected Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot from Aida to create something incredibly unique and special for this incredibly unique and special PNV 2021!
Winemaker, Vineyard 29
I have been making wine since 1998 beginning at Cakebread Cellars and after that, became enologist at Sonoma's historical Gundlach Bundschu Winery. In 2004 a sabbatical took me to Martinborough, New Zeland to work the harvest for Palliser Estate Wines. Since 2005, I have been Director of Winemaking (and now President & CEO) for Vineyard 29 overseeing the winery's portfolio as well as that of the ultra-premium custom crush clientele. In addition to my own brands, Emerson Brown, atLarge and Sonria, I also make wine for Robert Craig Winery, Vinoce, Knighton Family, Labry, Sang-Froid, Vineyard 36, Martin Ray and Gundlach Bundschu.
