Description
The caves at Truchard have been a resting place for many of our wines over the past 25 years, but what grows above has been a recently discovered treasure over the past few years. We replanted the 1.8-acre hill above our cellars in 2009 with a selection of Clone 169 Cabernet Sauvignon, known for its small berries and intense fruit. Practically from the first vintage, this block showed that it was something magical. This year, winemaker Sal DeIanni selected a special barrel for this Premiere Napa Valley offering - 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from the Napa Valley.

Sal De Ianni
Winemaker, Truchard Vineyards
Sal was the enologist for Cuvaison Winery from 1995-1997, then worked as harvest winemaker in 1997 for Margaret River Vineyards in Australia. From 1998 onward, he has served as winemaker for Truchard Vineyards.
