QTR Wines is proud to offer our estate Cabernet Sauvignon sourced from the best blocks in our estate vineyard. Located at the foothills of Howell Mountain, high above Lake Hennessey, QTR sits atop some of the best vineyard land in the valley. Vineyard clones were selected specifically for our soils and are sustainably cultivated by vineyard manager Jim Barbour. At 850 to 1,200 feet, the southwest facing vineyard gets plenty of afternoon sun as well as cool evening breezes. Fruit is carefully selected and vinified by winemaker Thomas Rivers Brown to stunning effect each year. QTR Cabernet Sauvignon has all the classic hallmarks of hillside fruit that we truly love – bright acidity, lush tannins and a complex structure. Multiple layers of red fruit, black pepper, baker’s chocolate and lavender emerge on the palette complimented by a balanced acidity that culminates in a long, luxurious finish.
