Stice Lane
2018 Cabernet Sauvignon
St. Helena
This Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from our historic Stice Lane Vineyard in the southern part of the St. Helena nested appellation. The vineyard sits in a former Napa River bed, where the rocky soil, rich with minerals, is ideal for classically structured Cabernet Sauvignon. We believe the Cabernet Sauvignon from this site is our finest, and the 2018 vintage provides stunning evidence. The wine is 100 percent barrel fermented, a labor-intensive process that requires some cooperage skills on the part of our cellar crew but is well worth the effort as it produces a more textured palate and silky tannins. The wine is aged for 18 months in new French oak in the ideal conditions of our caves.
