Description

We are celebrating 50 years of winegrowing in five nested appellations of Napa Valley. Many of our Premiere Napa Valley wines have celebrated our single vineyards within these nested appellations. This year, we're celebrating our Knollwood Vineyard in Oak Knoll District. Knollwood Vineyard is a certified CCOF and Napa Green Organic Vineyard. We grow multiple clones of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and a small block of Syrah. Our vineyards in Oak Knoll District are in a sweet spot in Napa Valley, with warm days, breezy afternoons and cool nights. One of our winemaker's great joys is playing the piano, and this original piece, titled ‘Paean,’ is a blend of single vineyard, organically grown Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot. This blend was written on the old grand piano in our barrel room, the blend itself is played out in the wine glass and on the piano. The winning bidder might even be able to coerce Chris to come out to present the blend to their guests, both in glass and on the piano!
