Description

This never before, never again special selection is sourced from Diamond Mountain Ranch and the Peterson Vineyard, both in the Mayacamas Mountains west of Napa Valley near Sterling's Calistoga home. The vineyards are on steep slopes from 800 to 1,700 feet above sea level, often above the fog line, receiving ample sunshine at cooler temperatures than the valley floor.

Winemaker, Harry Hansen

Prior to being named senior winemaker at Sterling Vineyards, Hansen held the position of director of winemaking for Edna Valley. Hansen's tenure with Edna Valley began in 2001 as winemaker and was ultimately promoted to director of winemaking in 2008.

Education: Harry has a degree in genetics from University of California, Davis and went on to receive his master's in enology, also from Davis.
