Description
Our 130 acres of vineyards across Napa Valley reflect the region's diversity of soils and microclimates, which allows the winery to consistently show the best of the appellation for every vintage. This one-of-a-kind wine is a delightful blend of classic red wine varieties from our vineyards in the heart of Napa Valley. We started with fruit from Pope Valley, on the warmer eastern edge of the Vaca Mountains, that is densely concentrated with flavor and ripe tannins. From Rutherford, our vineyard on Mee Lane offers a touch of Rutherford Dust - an ineffable, exquisite expression of place. Lastly, the Rutherford Hill Estate Vineyard, in rocky, hillside soils, brings intensity and structure.

Marisa Taylor
Winemaker, Rutherford Hill Winery
Growing up among the vineyards of Santa Rosa in Sonoma County, I guess perhaps I was destined to find a career in winemaking. At a young age, I recall visits to the vineyards to watch my godfather, a vineyard manager, work with the vines. And like most people who grow up in wine country, wine was a typical fixture at my family's dinner table. I developed a deep appreciation for the process of taking the tender grapes from vine to the glass, generating the spark of what would become my professional calling

Winemaking Philosophy:
What is in the glass should reflect what is in the vineyards. My desire is to to help the grapes express themselves in the best possible way.
