Description
This Premiere Napa Valley wine represents our best effort to showcase the Nellcôte style - a beguiling combination of power and elegance. A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot from the Oakville and Stags Leap District nested appellations; this wine has been aged two years in hand-selected, custom toasted 100 percent new French oak barrels. A "Wild Card" may refer to any element that cannot be predicted or controlled; nothing could be truer of the 2017 vintage.
Phillip Corallo-Titus
Winemaker, Nellcôte
Phillip Corallo-Titus has been at the helm of Chappellet's winemaking team for over two decades, as well as at his family's label, Titus. With a passion for experimentation, Phillip applies classical winemaking and believes the finest wines are made in the vineyard. Phillip has been a consulting winemaker to Nellcote since 2013.

I strive to make wines that reflect both the vineyard and the vintage, and my approach is to focus on harvesting at the ideal ripeness. The wines are ultimately an expression of terroir, classic winemaking and the style we are seeking to achieve.
